What Causes Error Code E002?
Here are the most common causes in order of frequency. Start with the most likely cause before moving to the next:

How to Fix Bosch Oven Error Code E002

Inspect heating element visually
Open the oven and look at the bake element (bottom) and broil element (top). A burned-through element will have a visible break, hole, or blistered area.

Test element continuity
After allowing oven to cool, disconnect element terminals and test with multimeter. Good element reads 15–30 ohms. Open circuit = failed.

Replace the element
Unscrew the mounting screws, pull the element forward, disconnect the wires, and connect the new element.
