- 2 Connector at sensor loose or corroded 25% of cases
- 3 Wiring harness to sensor damaged 10% of cases
How to Fix Samsung Oven Error Code E-08
- 1
Test the sensor
Disconnect the sensor connector. Test resistance: at room temperature, expect 1,080–1,090 ohms for a standard oven sensor. An open circuit (OL/∞) means the sensor has failed.
🔩 Multimeter - 2
Check the connector
Before replacing, reseat the 2-pin connector at the sensor. Corrosion on the pins can mimic an open circuit.
- 3
Replace the temperature sensor
The sensor is in the upper-rear of the oven cavity, usually 1–2 screws. Disconnect the 2-wire connector and install the new sensor.
🔩 Samsung oven temperature sensor ($25–$55)⚠️ Let oven cool completely before reaching inside.
How to Reset Error Code E-08
After replacing sensor, plug in and test with a short bake cycle.
Note: If the error returns after resetting, the underlying issue has not been resolved. Work through the fix steps above.
